Anyone finding that more and more websites only work properly with specific browsers?

Despite many calls with Citibank technical support I have been unable to make their credit card website work correctly with Firefox (I need to open chrome). And lots of times I need to open Internet Explorer to make the Disney website work properly (both Chrome and Firefox cause problems). I just hate being told "try using (browser name), it's what our developers use". Is it really too much to expect these big companies to test their websites and make sure they work with all the major browsers?

Even my little blog works on all browsers - it's ridiculous that major corporations can't manage that.

It works the most adequately with MSIE but even then
I have to put up with text on top of other text.

And forget about many others I would like to use with my
tablet but they aren't compatible with the 21st century.

especially if one of them is Safari or IE.

I run a Wordpress.org blog, and the only problem I have is with Safari -- it will download HTML5 WEBM videos but not play them online.

Most problems I experience with certain websites are related to an addon like AdBlock of Ghostery preventing some aspect of the site to load fully. With FF safe mode can be started by holding SHIFT and clicking the FF icon. Might be worth a quick test to see if it makes any difference.

Unfortunately the Citibank site still does not work to access my credit cards. It works up until I click on the card that I want to see the history for and then I get an error message (something like page not available). Very annoying.

It is pretty amazing that Chrome seems to work better than the tried and true browsers but I have found that myself. I still love my FF addons so won't give it up. Sorry I can't suggest anything more.

I keep both Firefox and Chrome around.

Every time my credit union upgrades its website, it works less and less with Firefox. The latest time they achieved almost full failure; all I can do is type in my username and password, but I can't login.
