The new version of Malwarebytes has gone from 7min to 38 min on my weekly scan. I don't

like this new version(free version) any hints or do you recommend a different program.

I also use SuperantiSpyware.

I have Malwarebytes, Avira, and SuperAntiSpyware. Malwarebytes takes about LoisB Jul 2014 #4

1. You shouldn't run two antivirus programs on your computer.

The use of both programs creates conflict problems that lead to the problem you are describing. You need to uninstall one of them.

They don't run in real time(their free) I usually check my machine on Sunday as part of my routine.

I have avast for my antivirus protection, since MSE started telling me they no longer support XP.

doesn't take anywhere that long on my system even with 3 different folding@home apps running in the background.

Just ran a scan 6:13

seven minutes. My Malwarebytes is Premium so I don't know if that's the difference.

Quick Scan only takes mine about seven minutes.

My paid version suddenly started coming up with old stuff. I read an article that many of them are now considered to be potentially dangerous.
