Kindle stuff

MamaRosa's boss just got a nice promotion within the company, so being the great boss he is he shared with his staff. We now have a new Kindle 7" HDX, and nice gift card from Amazon.

As with all my internet searches I like to see what knowledge is to found here at DU. So anybody have any suggestions for finding info about this new toy?

By the way I'm having a blast with this! 😀

Thanks

are you looking for app ideas? Are you trying to figure out how to use it?

I use mine for reading books, checking email, listening to music, watching movies, checking the weather, reading online, etc. I was playing a few games but one of them ate up all the storage. There are two kinds of storage: stuff ON the device and stuff on the cloud. You can keep stuff on the cloud until you use it and it won't use up your device storage.

I'd get a decent case for it. I found an inexpensive one on Amazon. The thing is so handy to carry around, a case ensures you won't break it if you drop it. The one I have turns off the kindle when you close the case and then turns it back on when you open it up so you don't need to turn it on and off. The battery lasts a long time and it will let you know when you are getting close to needing to recharge.
