1. Start button, Control Panel, Programs, look for Flash player in the list, left click it, uninstall..

Be aware that many videos on the web will not work without it. HTML5 is coming to replace it, from what I know.
Youtube has a section devoted to HTML5 videos.

Followed your link but still do not know if I follow directions will I have to reinstall Flash or be able to see vids etal

4. Unfortunately viewing videos on many sites still requires flash. Youtube does not

however as it will work with the latest browsers that support html5 video and no longer requires flash to be
installed.

My flash crashed also and on investigation found that I should have completely uninstalled and wiped out old Flash programs before installing the newest version. Flash has an app. on its homepage for uninstalling. Before that I had to go into the registry (always a tricky, chancy thing) to completely wipe it.

So, in short, clean uninstall then clean install - hope it helps.
