and everything is working fine, I would advise waiting.

There are some real privacy concerns that are still being ironed out. I also usually recommend that people upgrade after at least a few updates to the system so as not to be beta testers.

The free offer for upgrading to 10 is good for one year, so you have some time.

No use in changing for the sake of change alone, or fixing something that is not broken.

There is a rule about coding, for every 1000 lines of code there are at least 3 bugs (mistakes), and that is after the debugging process. Those words of wisdom brought to you by NASA.

Give it 6 months to a year to work out some of the problems. From my experience, it is best to wait for the first service pack to come out.

Microsoft is shifting away from service packs with 10 so six months worth of fixed should be roughly equivalent before considering an upgrade.

Before upgrading check to see that all your hardware (including printers, scanners and the like)
have drivers available for Windows 10.

Pros-Start menu is back and better than previous versions, IMO, but especially better than Windows 8 or 8.1.
Cortana is nice, though I don't use it most of the time because I don't have a mic on my desktop

Cons-I'm not certain, but it seems like my internet browsing is slower on Windows 10.

I always like to have the latest, just my preference. I'm a programmer too though so I like to know if the new Windows is going to break anything I'm working with.

Edge browser I'm still not sure about. It beats IE but I think Firefox and Chrome still beat it. Chrome seems to be the fastest browser on Windows 10 for me.
