lost flash player completely now ... edited to say this problem fixed

Win 7 64, Firefox 10.0.2 (and seems to be updating that as I type), connection is slow DIAL UP, been having insane problems with my photobucket account and e-mailing back and forth with them trying to solve that problem. They suggested updating flash, couldn't ever get it to load past 13% during the install. So I downloaded the uninstaller and removed whatever it was I had, and tried to install the newest for my system. SAME damn thing, downloaded and clicked all the appropriate spots in all the pop-up boxes and it quit at 13% little error message says "cannot contact reliable source"

I would show you some screen captures but, well...

EDIT: googled "cannot contact reliable source" and found this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/4087257

and loaded the stand alone installer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550

that seems to have worked. now back to my original problem. phucking photobucket.

Well, it's hard to diagnose based on your post. Old and In the Way Mar 2012 #1

Of course, dial-up is always going to crawl, particularly with software downloads. You might want to check your task manager and the processes tab to see if there is any software running that might be taking up a lot of processor overhead. Depending what that might be, you could end the process and that might free up processor time to devote to downloading. Just make sure it's not a system process that might crash your computer. Just a thought.

ultimately it involved getting this stand-alone installer

but nothing has helped get my photobucket account to work. I will start a new thread for that.
