Microsoft update error 80070005

It says I can not download and install updates. I have read some articles on this and it looks like it is a user issue. Only problem is that the articles are from 4 to 5 years ago. My operating system is Vista. Anyone have any ideas?

window update as administrator. It's been a while but I think it was a right click on the all programs list and run as admin.
