We're looking to cut the cable and bundlers, is there a good hot spot for home use?
What do we need to look for? We want to Skype for phone and use a service for TV.
Would it be better to use a local internet supplier instead. We do travel and have concerns with public wi-fi.
Please help some old technology-challenged folks out!!!!

(10,170 posts)It is replacing Clear which IMO was much better when you could get it.
The device you get is a refurbished unit. I am using it as back up at work until Google Fiber gets up. Miss my Clear, but oh well...

(10,170 posts)It seems to work just fine with my dlink modems. I am not particularly tech savvy but happy enough with what I have. Eventually, my business will switch over to Google Fiber and I may go to VoIP for my phone. Have U verse at home because I was tired of arguing with my spouse and he has a home office so I gave in.
I am not a fan of AT&T.
