Google this term: windows 10 display keeps refreshing

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Initially all seemed to go well. The problem is that now my desktop keeps refreshing every minute or 2. Apparently this is a fairly common problem. I googled the term in the subject line of my post and found a number of proposed fixes which I have mostly tried and which have not yet worked. If anyone has suggestions I will be happy to entertain them. I like Windows 10. I've used it before on another machine without incident. I don't mind tinkering to find a fix that will work, but I would like to get this annoying problem fixed. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. PS: I'm running a 64 bit HP desktop with 2.00 GB of RAM and a 2.13 GHz Intel processor.

The machine seems like it would be close to under powered, but that is just an impression.

Try this

Right click on the start charm. Click on device manager. Expand display adapter then right click on what drops down ( may say something like standard vga adapter or list the actual hardware you have) and choose update driver.

See if it updates the driver and if it does if it fixes the problem. If it doesn't then you ill need to figure out what display adapter you have and hunt down the correct driver for it.
