I get these ads/messages that pop in from the lower right side of my computer

screen from various sites I have visited. They pop in no matter what I am doing, even if I am presenting a presentation at work, or on email, or the internet, etc. They are not pop-ups associated with a web site that I am on.

Anyway, they are annoying and I want to know how to get rid of them. They are especially embarrassing if I am in a meeting and sharing my screen and they pop in. Any advice would be extremely helpful. I tried to look on line, but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

Thanks in advance!

website. If you click allow you are likely to get those pop notifications.
"
In chrome, to kill them.

"How to control notification pop-up windows.

Click on the menu icon (three stacked dots) on the top-right of the Chrome screen.
Click “Settings”.
Scroll to the bottom and click “Advanced”.

In the Privacy and Security section, scroll down and click “Content Settings”.
Click “Notifications”.
At the top of the page, there’s a toggle that’s set to “Ask before sending (recommended)”. Flip the toggle to “Blocked” to stop the pop-up windows. Below the toggle is “Block” and “Allow” lists. The entries in these lists override the toggle. If you want to get notifications from a website, add it’s URL to the “Allow” list."

I think I took care of it. We'll see. Hopefully those windows won't pop up again!

Thanks again!

When you get the message from websites asking if they can 'notify' you or 'alert' you ... always click 'block' unless you really like that site.

I never know what to do when I get that message. I usually click block, but know I know to do it in every instance!

Thanks!
