Best Technical Support Plans

I have been using Netgear's technical support, which cost me $99 a year. My plan is up, though, and when it came time to renew, they told me it's gone up to $139 per year. I would pay it but the accents are too hard to deal with at that price.

I hate Comcast, but that's my ISP and they have a support plan for $9.95 a month but with a $39.95 one-time sign-up fee. It's not much less but they do route the calls to "North American" technical support people, thus I'm hoping for less of a problem with the accent.

Does anyone know of any other support plans out there that I should check out?

There are a lot of posters here with decades of experience, and it doesn't cost a dime.

I have a medical problem (PTSD) that prevents me from thinking clearly when I'm under stress, and I'm always under stress when my computer doesn't work. I need to know for sure I can get help and get it right away, so that kinda' precludes the good will of strangers.

The last time I called for tech assist was when my Nook wasn't being recognized by my computer. The time before that was when I was knocked offline and my router wasn't working when I got back online.

Thanks for your thoughts.
