really annoying pop-unders

Is anyone else getting a popunder that comes with a bunch of annoyingfeatures? Netflix is bad enough. These have google based searches and generally say "please take our survey to win aprise and prented to be from the site you're visiting- like DailyKos for example.

Several of these popunders come with sound which rings like a cell phone.

Is this a virus? I'm on IE8.

Don't give me any condescending snark about it because I work within financial communities whose proprietary software runs on IE only. Besides, Chrome's resolution on graphics is terrible.

http://*.optmd.com
for example.

Doing so will not stop the popunders, but it will stop the annoying flash and sounds.

I might clash with the proprietary bank programs I use. This has happened before.

ostensibly a game portal, the Arcade Candy files have some really nasty hitchhikers.
I deleted Arcade Candy from my programs list, ran Malwarebytes AND Microsoft Safety Scanner, and it's gone.
