Looking for a good video editing software
I have a GoPro Hero 2 camera. It comes with a very basic version of CineForm which doesn't allow adding music, stringing together movies, or clipping them among other limitations.
I have tried Windows Movie Maker but the resolutions it saves to are terrible.
I'd like an easy to learn software that won't break the bank.
I have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 desktop running 4G of RAM on 32bit XP Pro.
This looks intriguing:

(1 post)This may help. http://www.real.com/resources/free-video-editing-software It reviews free video editing software and explains what features to be looking for. It should help you choose which software will be best for your needs.

(1 post)Take a look at GIMP, it is open source free version akin to Photo Shop.

(26,355 posts)As you stated, it's image-editing software that's comparable to PhotoShop. It's great for editing still images, but I don't think it's good for putting full-motion videos together.
I haven't done much video editing, so I can't give good recommendations here.

(25,348 posts)It's the easiest product I've used in a long time.
I love the frame count feature which allows editing to be as easy as copy and paste.
I know it's 49 bucks but well worth it. Makes many other products seem like toys
(No..I have no personal "doings" with Cyberlink)
