How do I get rid of hyperlinks that are showing up in the posts I'm reading?
Words like "family", "career", "income", etc.
This happened to me before but I can't remember how I got rid of them.
Internet Explorer is my browser.
Thanks!

(27,677 posts)1. Check your extensions
It's possible that some sort of dictionary application got installed without your knowing. I've seen this happen under Firefox and I understand that IE is even more vulnerable to such things.
Barring that, does IE come with some sort of dictionary option? I don't have IE so I can't check. If so, make sure that it isn't enabled.

Thanks for replying!

(24,721 posts)3. It suddenly dawned on me to run my mouse over one of the hyperlinks
to get the name of the program. It was called "text enhancer". I googled "how to disable 'text enhancer'", followed the directions, & it solved my problem.
Thanks for your input!
Glad you solved it.
