Windows 7 rant and question: the f*cking TASKBAR!!

We just upgraded this week at work, and the Taskbar is driving us mad. Not only does it not add new items to the "end" (ie: it groups all open emails together), but it also does stupid things with "quick launch" items, moving them around the taskbar as new windows are opened.

The result: constantly chasing things around

Is there any remedy to this?? Through DU I learned about God Mode and Classic Shell, so I'm back again hoping for a 3rd discovery

The taskbar in 7 is a completely different creature. It takes getting used to, but I'll bet that in the end you'll like it. I know I do.

you can reduce the grouping if you like...

RIGHT-CLICK on the TASKBAR
SELECT PROPERTIES
On TASKBAR BUTTONS select NEVER COMBINE

That will get you part of the way there...
