A 'I did not know that' keyboard shortcut re:volume up and down.

Use Shift+Option in conjunction with the up and down volume keys to change the volume by a quarter of normal.

(Watch the difference in the volume animation on screen)

'Wrong' meaning I did something wrong. Usually from some ham fisted error, such as the side of my hand touching more than one key at the same time or hitting the control, option or command keys by accident.

I get drop down windows because of my mouse that I have to beware of changing the settings. Or if I double click a folder selection to much or maybe too hard, it goes in and selects something I didn't see or ask for. That was how my default on screen and folder size changed and I've had to work around as all attempts to change it made it worse. Since I didn't see or plan the changes, I don't know how to get back to what I wanted. The only thing I can do is relaunch Finder or at the worst, Restart. That usually helps.

I used to use the F11 and F12 keys to make the sound level go up and down, and F10 to mute. Now when I hit F10 the screen in back of the browser goes black. When I hit F11 And F12 and am not typing actively in a window, the entire browser window is sucked into the upper left corner. I miss being able to use F11 and F12 to adjust the sound level. Now I have to go to the top bar and use the drop down from the sound icon slider button to do it which I don't like.

Still having a good time, though.

If you select a file name in the Finder and then press the Return/Enter key the name will get the highlight renaming box around it. Rename the file and press the Return key again and bingo your file has it's new name.
