Any simple way to test ad providers on website?

I have a not-yet-done site, and would like to be able to see how it looks with ads.

Is there any ad provider that is easy to sign up for and doesn't care whether your site is done or not. Or that can provide a test account? Rather than companies like Google who review your site. I really want to evaluate them. Otherwise of course I could post stub images or copy/paste ads but I'd really rather have something more professional. Thanks.

does it really matter what you have (real vs fake ads) in the space you have dedicated to ad placement on your page(s)?

If I spend 10 minutes putting an ad on the side of my page, I'd like that to be the only time I spend 10 minutes doing that.

Plus, there is a chance I might stick with them, so I'd want to see what kind of ads they provide, the sizes available, etc.

Plus, I'd rather do business with people who are not hoity toity and will provide an account for people like me, and not only do business with the big guys but the little guys as well.

It's likely I will need to use stub images. I know.
