If Carper(D-DE) decides not to seek re-election in 2024,

The top tier Democratic candidates for Carper’s US Senate seat are going to be Lisa Blunt Rochester and John Carney. Who is going to be the Democratic nominee between Blunt Rochester vs Carney. Blunt Rochester is likely to be the Democratic Nominee becoming the 1st Female and 1st Black US Senator from DE. Carney has lost a high profile primary election for the 2008 DE Governor Election to Jack Markell.
