If Feingold(D-WI) decided to run for the US Senate in 2012 instead of 2016, Would he have won?

Feingold-D lost re-election to Johnson-R in 2010.
Feingold-D ran in 2012 to replace Kohl-D in 2012. Feingold-D would have won in the primary against Baldwin-D and general against Thompson-R.
