Apparently, President Obama is a descendant of a 'British collaborator.'

This type of post by anti-Obama, pro-RKBA posters is becoming all too typical in GD.

61. His family background may hold the key.

He may have learned a lesson in his early life which we never considered. (I, too, was an early enthusiastic supporter. But I completely overlooked a factor from his early background. Now it seems obvious.)

His book, Dreams from My Father, was focused on by him as indicating lessons that influenced him.

Those who became British colloborators in Kenya became rich. Reportedly, his grandfather Onyango Obama was known to have a favorite saying, "If you do a good job for the white man, then he will always pay you well." Although Obama did not describe him with affection in his book, he did not reject that philosophy.

Whenever you want to understand what Obama is going to do, don't look to the traditional policies of the Democratic Party and his role as a professional Democrat (D), don't look at the Constitution and his role as a constitutional scholar, don't look to the laws and his role as a lawyer, don't look to the poverty in American and his role as a community organizer.

Instead, look at what the international super-rich want. Some of the banksters that received our money aren't even American banksters.

What the international super-rich want, he is going to deliver.

Right wingers have told me Ann Dunham was a communist - she was friends with one at one point, it appears.

The funny thing for poor right wingers is that even being in the same room with a communist causes a person to imbibe those views immediately and completely. Communism is that powerful!

that if communism is so powerful it can overwhelm capitalists who breathe the same air, then is communism perhaps the better system? All the wingers worship is power. They feel threatened by communists (and everyone else). So why don't they switch to their allegiance to the most powerful and therefore worthiest system?

Yeah, yeah, I know... circular reasoning. There's NO kind of reasoning with wingers; they lack the brain cells to participate. They're like panicked horses, which will return to a burning barn if able, because that's the main place they've found security. Horses have to be forced out of a burning barn, and they'll fight you tooth and hoof to remain there.

Wins here in NJ in November they will snap out of it? I don't know - but if that s.o.b wins our goose is cooked in 2016. He's slick and likable. And he will not play nice with SOS Clinton. He won the Govs office in a very blue state. He only needs NJ, PA and maybe Ohio to win.

Just a couple of northern blue states and our goose is cooked.

They need to wake up.

ETA: I know several Republicans that are pleased that he's already started his campaign for President. It's why he's come out against gay marriage and kept quiet in the Voting Rights Act decision. He's got to secure IndieTeaPublicans votes in Southern state primaries.

There is no way that the DU forum can stand to be bombarded day after day with that kind of racist crap and then expect anyone else to come here and make comments using the premise of "just having discussions."

First it was all the complaints about President Obama's policies.
Then it was complaints about President Obama, the man.
But, that post, in particular, is like some kind of ouija board determination of how President Obama thinks.
And that is just insane, whacked out crapola!

They had a problem last year with people alerting on really old posts in months old threads, so now the alert system only goes to a jury in the first 24 hours after the post is made. Older posts go straight to the admins.

But, that doesn't work either.

That makes him related to Poppy as well.

He's also distantly related to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

It gets better--he's a distant relative to Winston Churchill, and LBJ, and James Madison, and Gerald Ford AND Harry Truman.

We can pick our friends, we can't pick our relatives.

The best paragraph of this article:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/mar/26/barackobama.hillaryclinton

While family trees such as these throw up interesting links, genetically they are meaningless. While children carry half the genes of their father, cousins as far removed as Obama and Bush would have no more genetic link than someone they bumped into at random in the street.

When I see trash, I tend to toss it--I'd do that with that kind of meanspirited, deliberate goading.
