Then, Russian intelligence services intercept a phone conversation between two high level US diplomats and share it with the world. In this exciting expose on the motives of Russian espionage, I take you through the reasons that led to the spying which point to some serious geopolitical maneuvering.

After that, if we have time, Google had an interesting week from a political opinion perspective, weighing in on the Russian Olympics and on Republican dirty tricks.

At the end we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively.
