I am incredibly angry with what happened in AfAm. I am appalled at what happened there.

I am so tired of the crap Hoyt. The hides too. What happened in AfAm was epic. A safe haven was trashed. They were abused. The alerts did not work. The heavy lifting was left to AA.

BOG is being invaded as well. Safe havens are no longer safe.

as I wanted to, but I was on one jury and it went 6-1 against the alerter. I also saw at least one other jury that went 7-0 against another bogus alerter.

I support AfAm where some of the members are posters I follow closely and get learn more and get a little less stupid from them everyday. 1strongblackman got a lot of abuse, but then he is a lightening rod even while he always tells the truth 100%.

I don't think its the jury system. I think its the loosely defined and evolving meaning of what "protected" means as it applies to a protected group.

I have mixed feelings about drawing juries out of a group where the alert came from. To me it could be more fixed than open juries.

I judge on behavior not partisanship. The implication is generally speaking DU members are incapable of impartiality. Besides, while Bernie supporters are much more 'vocal,' my general feeling is there are a hell of a lot more Hillary supporters here. I trust them and have no problems with the system. I can't believe my fellow DUers wouldn't treat me fairly if I were alerted on. I've been alerted on three time - twice for two consecutive posts in a thread - and I deserved them. I made a comment on Ann Coulter that strictly speaking was insensitive to transgendered people and one on a police man's funeral during the spate of civilian shootings that was inflammatory and over the line.

I take jury duty seriously while I've alerted maybe four or five times.

Some people make big targets and I think that has happened a couple of time in the last few months. The better one is known and the more folks that one offends, the more likely one is going to get juried down.

There's just no excuse for what's been described here. There's no excuse for beastly behavior here against fellow DUers. I wish everyone would remember here that we're all on the same team. And we ALL want to make sure the Democrats keep the White House.
