At every rally, in each blog post, in every comment weve made to the press or email weve sent you, HCAN has talked about how Obamacare expands coverage to more than 30 million people and eliminates the worst insurance company abuses.
We dont talk about the so-called mandate because its a means to an end its one of the ways everyone gets health care and its how we stop the big insurance companies from discriminating against people who are sick.
But the mandate isn't what Obamacare is all about, even if thats what the right-wing says to stir up anger against the Affordable Care Act.
Please take a moment to read our latest blog post in the Huffington Post about whats at stake with the Supreme Courts ruling. Help us spread the truth.

(54,770 posts)If mandate is struck down, the legislation as a whole will wither away. Lots of people will be hurt. 20 years from now, we'll be looking back from under a crumbling bridge wishing people had recognized its benefits.
I'm not saying ACA was perfect legislation, but it was/is a lot better than the way insurance companies treat the sick under the old rules.
