I doubt he'd drink at something like that -- especially sitting next to Joe who has been a teetotaler his entire life. Right up to the minute he entered the Chamber, yep. The moment it was finished grabbing for the flask? No doubt.
I remember once at the beginning of Obama's first term Boehner turned down a "lift" on Air Force One (I forget the details) and I was convinced it was because he would have to watch his drinking during a long flight.
