Alleged flasher gets trapped, tipped in port-a-potty
PORTLAND, Ore. - A homeless man who was allegedly exposing himself to people Thursday morning along the Eastbank Esplanade found himself in a tough position.
A police sergeant was flagged down at about 8 a.m. and told that someone was trapped in a tipped-over Honey Bucket near the Eastbank Esplanade at the foot of the Hawthorne Bridge.
"An anonymous homeless person approached the police and said that the man had been inside the porta-potty with his pants around his ankles, holding the door open as he pleasured himself," said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson. "The person told the police that other homeless people were 'tired of his behavior,' so they knocked over the porta-potty and ran away."
Witnesses told KGW it was an example of "street justice."
Simpson said the man was not injured, but was covered in waste from the tank of the Honey Bucket.
