The pandemic helped cultivate it. I’m not for or against only because the one size fits all doesn’t make sense. I do believe the requirements need tightening.

my youngest is one, she homeschools. I am not allowed to be in my granddaughter's life because I will cause her to question her mother's lessons.

I first heard it as told as a reply from "a little old lday" to a lecturing philosopher, Bertrand Russell - taking the place of William James here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turtles_all_the_way_down#Modern_form

But that has "rocks all the way down" in 1838, and "tortoises all the way down" in 1854

“The Science of Disk World” that goes into great detail on different ‘flat’ earth and turtles all the way down cultural beliefs. Four volumes, quite interesting (and Enjoyable!)

Also, there's some serious problems with the size scale for the continents, especially Eurasia.

The basic thing about a flat earth is you have to lie about reality. For instance, in a reply to a flat earth book of the early 20th century:

I will only give one other example of the astronomical proofs:

'If the earth were a globe, the distance round the surface, say, at 45 degrees south latitude, could not possibly be any greater than the same latitude north; but since it is found by navigators to be twice the distance—to say the least of it—or double the distance it ought to be according to the globular theory, it is a proof that the earth is not a globe.' This sort of thing reduces my mind to a pulp. I can faintly resist when a man says that if the earth were a globe cats would not have four legs; but when he says that if the earth were a globe cats would not have five legs I am crushed.

in the midst of all this nonsense?

The Sun has more than 332,000 times the mass of the earth. Yet in this home schooling model, it orbits around the earth instead of the proven model where the Earth rotates around the sun.

Oh and in this model, how is it ever night time when the Sun is always shining on flat Earth?

Also, why do Australia and South America appear as large or larger than North America? North America is the largest of these three continents by a considerable margin.

I feel sorry for these children.
