British Man's Stolen Laptop Winds Up In Iran

Dom Del Torto from London, UK, had his laptop stolen last month. Instead of lamenting his loss, he set up a Tumblr called "Dom's laptop is in Iran", full of photos taken by an app called Hidden, which secretly collects images and sends them back to the original owner. Shortly after his new blog made headlines, Dom received messages from the Iranian folks in the photos (who claim they had no idea it was stolen) that said his hobby was jeopardizing their safety. With a moral crisis on his hands, Dom bagged the blog. The mortified subjects now want to return the machine, but guilt-ridden Dom says he's "asked them to keep it by means of an apology." [Source]

If they were worried about their safety they should be more careful where they buy their electronics.

I don't think I would have been so nice.
