Arrested Drunk Man Sings "Bohemian Rhapsody" In Its Entirety In Back Of Police Car

Dude in the video above wasn't happy about being picked up by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for being intoxicated. The best excuse he can muster is something about "brotherhood of men on the planet earth" before he segues right into singing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." In its entirety. He even provides the instrumentation interlude. There's nothing clever to add here. This performance can't be topped. http://deadspin.com/5897507/

Paula Abdul was quoted as saying she liked his style, and voted to let him through to Hollywood.

The "Bohemian Rhapsody" Dude Is An Unemployed Home Brewer Who Was Picked Up For DUI

The Smoking Gun has discovered the identity of that guy who fantastically belted out every word of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the back of a cop car after his arrest. His name is Robert Wilkinson, he's 29, he's unemployed, he's a home brewer, and his unforgettable performance in the back of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police vehicle was very much real. It happened last November after the 29-year-old was busted for drunken driving in Edson, Alberta, Canada.

The video got out because Wilkinson, who is unemployed, decided to defend himself against the charges (of course), and the RCMP gave it to him as part of the case's discovery process. Wilkinson, in turn, did what any serious legal mind would do to prepare his defense: He uploaded the clip to YouTube to amuse his friends. The Smoking Gun interviewed Wilkinson and found out a little bit more about him:

Wilkinson, who was unaware that the police video (see below) had gone viral, said that he is a karaoke singer who has performed all 113 Beatles songs available on karaoke machines. Asked how he was able to recall almost all the "Bohemian Rhapsody" lyrics, Wilkinson sought to display his memory by rattling off a long string of digits in Pi...

3 Worse Songs To Sing From The Back Of An RCMP Police Cruiser

1. Dead Horse by Guns N' Roses. This song features the lyric: "Sometimes I feel like I'm beatin' a dead horse." The RCMP loves horses so much that they have chosen a name that reminds us they are mounted on them! And if they're driving some drunk around in a cruiser, that obviously means less quality time riding their horse, which the drunk would be reminding them of by singing this song. This would be especially bad, if they're riding in a cruiser because their horses have succumbed to colic.
