http://www.portlandonline.com/police/pbnotify.cfm?action=ViewContent&content_id=2909This morning, Wednesday March 28, 2012, at 11:51 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of an armed robbery at Daylight Donut shop, located at 2613 Southeast 122nd Avenue.
As officers were enroute they learned that the employee took the gun away from the suspect who then fled the area.
Officers arrived and checked the neighborhood with a police K-9 unit but did not locate the suspect.
The employee told officers that the suspect entered the donut shop and demanded money while armed with a handgun. After the suspect left the donut shop, the employee chased down the suspect, grabbed the gun and the money from the suspect and hit the suspect in the head with the gun. The suspect then ran away and was last seen possibly getting into a tan Dodge Neon that left westbound on Division Street.
