Gamers help woman after she gets robbed at gun point during web stream

Gamers help woman after she gets robbed at gun point during web stream

It turns out gaming can help stop criminals. Early Monday morning a woman in Arizona was streaming the popular video game DOTA 2 through the website Twitch.

Gamers watching the stream also witnessed the player, Nikki Elise, appear shocked and stunned after hearing someone shout in another room. After she left, gamers watching could hear, "on the ground now! On the ground!". Armed men entered the room, took items and disconnected webcam thereby ending the stream.

According to Metro, a gamer in Europe contacted a friend of Elise who then called the police. Lt. Michael Pooley told KTVK, "at that point, gamers from around the world were watching the home invasion occur while trying to contact the corresponding law enforcement agency."

According to My Fox Phoenix, police got to the apartment in time to catch one of the suspects. The other suspect is still on the loose.
