$10 mistake nets Michigan lottery player $4.4M

A $10 mistake resulted in $4.4 million for a lottery-playing Flint resident.

Mlive.com reported Monday that the anonymous winner bought the winning $10 Cash for Life lottery ticket at TA-Saginaw Travel Center in Bridgeport Township.

But that wasn't the plan: The winner put a $20 in the ticket machine while intending to spend only $10.

The player decided to spend the extra $10 on the Cash for Life ticket and told lottery officials "it wasn't even what I wanted."
