I agree with Mr. Glover - "white voters who would vote for a progressive, populist candidate LIKE Sanders" are lacking in the south.

We do our own due diligence regarding candidates.

Sanders is a regional - if not local - candidate, not even a Democrat - but something HE calls a democratic socialist. Down here in the belly of the Red State beast, looking at our friends, neighbors, acquaintances, why would we support an extremist who would never have a chance of winning dogcatcher in our neck of the woods?

Fringy uninformed elitists who want fantastical "free stuff" have the luxury of making statements.

We don't.

Let's not forget. Most of the votes that Sanders got are not from Democrats. They are from independents and cross over Republicans who took advantage of open primaries and caucuses.
