Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumThoughts about Hillary's win tonight! (+ other random stuff)
-I was studying in library (like every other night aka life of a medical student) yet I could not stop myself from frantically updating election results on computer screen every minute haha. The first exit poll def almost gave me a heart attack lol
-Hillary accomplished what she needed to do tonight. She delivered an old fashioned beatdown. She needed to win convincingly and that's what she did. Don't dare to dismiss her victory. Don't find some lame ass excuses/conspiracy theories to taint her victory. She won fair and square.
-In addition I lover how her base is literally a coalition- not just a monolithic group. That's what America is all about.
-Bernie ran a good race until these past two weeks. The tone he has adopted is really sad- and I think rubbed a lot of people in wrong way. He is coming across as condescending and desperate. Dismissing the south and any Hillary victory as not a victory- not cool in my book. And now to cling on for what? to switch superdelegates at the convention? That will not happen. I hope he realizes that the end is near- yes he had a good run and he got his message out, but it is time to leave the race with some dignity.
-To the fans of "the bern": If you decide to support Hillary when she is the nominee- great, we will gladly welcome you to our group. If you don't- that's fine as well. To those who want to vote for third candidate in General Election- just be aware of the repercussions. If Trump wins (like Bush did due to people voting for Nader) then don't sit around this board complaining about how horrible this country has become (actually who knows with him we may not even be allowed to criticize him or his cabinet on internet- not too farfetched if you actually listen to him dealing with criticism). You will have played a part in it.
-Time to focus attention on the Republicans and Trump. I think he will be the nominee- tonight was YUGEEEE for him.
-The general election will be tough- and it was going to be tough regardless of who our nominee would be (yes Bernie fans your candidate would not magically walk onto national scene and be left unscathed). They are going to sling mud at us like never before. But if there's two people in the Democrat Party who have always been ready to fight back- its Sec. and Pres. Clintons (I've always thought that in general democrats never fight back- classic example 2004 when we let a war hero be torn down with no response. shameful)
I believe in Hillary Clinton and I'm ready to play a part in her looming battle to become President of the United States of America.
Let's do it. Go Hillary!
