IT'S OVER

This is a great article from Business Insider UK, including perfect responses to the usual lame but-but-but arguments put forth by the Sanders folks. Enjoy!

Hillary has the Democratic primary in the bag

Technically, the Democratic presidential contest is not yet over.

But let's be real. It's over. Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee for president.

It's not just that Bernie Sanders lost delegate-rich New York by a wide margin Tuesday night. It's that the margins by which he'd need to win in the remaining contests to overtake Clinton are implausible.

Currently, Clinton has 55 percent of the pledged delegates and almost 2.7 million more votes than Sanders.

That might not sound like a huge lead, but almost two-thirds of the pledged delegates have already been awarded. So, as Nate Cohn of The New York Times notes, Sanders would need to win the remaining contests by an average of 18 points to overtake Clinton in pledged delegates. So far, he's only managed that big a margin in two primary states: New Hampshire and Vermont, his home state.

This is going to run until it reaches the end, I don't think Sanders has said anything that would indicate otherwise. I just wish it wouldn't take so bloody long.

2. Media narrative around Sanders has now changed. He is already being portrayed

as a not-viable candidate. The longer he stays in, the worse the press will attack him for tilting at windmills. His message - based so heavily on support he hasn't received - will be seen as being more and more out of touch with reality.

I think he will drop out earlier than many expected.

but he keeps going. Well, any sane person would read the handwriting on the wall and quit. Sanders has a problem with reality. You can't blame us for imagining he'd do the obvious.

5. If Hillary increases her delegate lead next Tuesday...

and I assume that she will, the media are going to take out their long knives and start cutting away at Bernie's support. Hillary's campaign has used this latest win in NY to change the narrative and turn Bernie's attacks against her into an even bigger negative than they were before Tuesday night. This is a good test of a strategy that should work well in the general too.

I am enjoying the politics. Hillary Clinton is not only the best qualified to be POTUS, she is also the best and smartest candidate for office.

The Clinton team cannot relax.
There are primaries to win and delegates to obtain.
They cannot relax.

All he can do is claim to have independents. That sure as heck isn't going to sway the super-delegates, and Weaver says they will tilt to Bernie...sure they will

It's all over. Maybe the little birdie was trying to tell him so.

Remember in 2012, when Mitt Romney was so convinced that he had won the presidential election that he actually had a transitional WH webpage made (which was accidentally put online for a few hours)?

(Looking at it still makes me want to gag): http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/7/1158664/-Romney-s-WH-Transition-Website-Surprise

The truth HURTS. These crazy men, and their handlers, never want to accept it. But in the end ... the truth will set you free. Or in this case, the truth will set the rest of us free!
