Bernie Sanders' campaign is outspending former New York senator Hillary Clinton over New York's airwaves by a 2-to-1 margin. The date is from ad-spending data firm SMG Delta.
The Sanders campaign has spent $5.6 million on ads in the Empire State, versus $2.8 million for the Clinton campaign. The Republican side has seen significantly less spending: John Kasich's campaign and Super PAC have spent $480,000 over the airwaves, while Ted Cruz and his groups have doled out $467,000. Donald Trump has spent just $67,000 on ads in the state.

I didn't write the headline, but I believe it's intended to be a bit ironic?

Irony alert: the "money buys elections" candidate is spending more and still losing.

the campaign and its foolish first-time voters for all they're worth. Scandalous deception.

(30,058 posts)8. From the start, campaigns cost lots of money, maybe too much money
But ads cost lots of money, maybe he can look back and see ads are not free.

... also with regard to voters. There's a big difference between attending a rally and actually voting... and being an actual DEMOCRAT who's eligible and registered to vote.

(60,336 posts)11. Sounds like she actually won that game
Won the state and spent less doing it.
I don't see how anyone but the BS campaign can see that as a loss.
