Overall, the Bernie group has over 180k posts compared to this group which has just over 109k posts. BUT, in the past 30 days, over 4k more posts have been made in the HRC group then in the Bernie group.

But most of what they post are negative against Hillary. They think they can win by bringing her down, not by promoting BS.

(23,691 posts)Their RW bosses don't want to pay them anymore now that HRC has pretty much clinched the nomination. They didn't want her as our nominee; felt they had a better chance against Bernie.

(15,438 posts)That tells me that not all Sanders supporters were necessarily Democrats or Democratic-leaning.

(11,588 posts)It is still largely a hostile place for Clinton supporters, but the tide is turner and the authoritarian control maintained by zealous Bernie supporters is ebbing as they begin to realize that there will be no President Sanders and the "revolution" is a fantasy of an ambitious career politician. Before long they will find some other way to express anti-establishment rebellion that is and always has been typical of teens and young adults--Sanders is just another suit after all.
What is a lesson from this is that social media has provided a tool to help organize people into larger scale groups than anyone has ever seen before. This is something that has the potential to be positive or extremely destructive in ways that need to be carefully studied. Our world is changing for sure.

(36,312 posts)Just as the Bernie campaign has experienced a drop in donations, the number of posts made by his supporters in the Bernie group have declined also.

(36,312 posts)24,757 posts made in the past 30 days in the Bernie Sanders group
34,462 posts made in the past 30 days in the Hillary Clinton group
What has happened is that the days of many posts being made in the Bernie group have ended. As those older post count days pass the 30 day mark and are no longer counted, they are being replaced by new, much lower post days. A sure sign that the enthusiasm for Bernie here at DU has greatly diminished.
On the other hand, enthusiasm for Hillary remains high!

(60,336 posts)Once we can post without the fear of being hidden by BSER'S, the mood here will be very enthusiastic and full in support for Hillary.
The BSER'S who remain either will continue to cause disruptions while most will move to support Hillary, the odds of being hidden by jury will go down.

(36,312 posts)For a long time it was pretty steady at about 28k over a 30 day period. Now it's dropped down to 20k over the past 30 days. The Hillary group still going strong, kicking ass and taking names, at +30k over the past 30 days.

While it may not appear to be so if one goes to GDP, I think that this is indicative of fading support and enthusiasm for Bernie here at DU.

(60,336 posts)Many of the BSers are newer members and by that have more enthusiasm.
Many Hillary Clinton supporters have been here a long time, been through primaries before and know these things have to run a course.
We don't need to repost every story, every BS speech in every forum on DU two or three times.

(2,034 posts)they coordinate what they post. One person will post a hit piece then all the Bernie supporters like it so it will hit the front page. Then they high five themselves while we go off line and talk to people physically and with respect.

(7,981 posts)The Bernie Sanders campaign is laying off hundreds of field staffers after a tough stretch in which he lost five of the last six nominating contests and now has virtually no chance of mounting a comeback to wrest the Democratic nomination from Hillary Clinton.
Though Mr. Sanders has surpassed fundraising expectations, the campaign doesnt have unlimited resources and cannot afford to keep on the payroll a full complement of field staff with three-quarters of the Democratic contests completed, a person familiar with the matter said.

Coincidence??

(31,828 posts)There is no more 'presumptive' about it.
As well - you have not only California coming up - but also NJ. So now two very blue states with a closed primary and a high number of delegates are actually getting interested.
I watched one debate. I tried to watch another (when O'Malley was still in it).
It's been a long season for the rest of us - but I just had three different Sanders GOTV's knock on my door on Saturday and Sunday.
It's interesting now.
