(57,204 posts)can you make the reciprocal promise? If not, the above claim probably has a lot more resonance than it truly deserves.

(57,204 posts)seen the most probable Democratic candidate and therefor the next President of the United States.
I certainly have no problem with Hilary Clinton as our next President. I am a senior citizen and I admit, I think Bernie is a bit long in the beard for the job. I am surprised how the last two years have shown themselves on our President. I think Hillary Clinton has the stamina to do the eight years. All the "hidden" e-mails proved was how connected to her parvenu of the State Department she was and how in control she was.
I think the released e-mails show what a good choice she was for SOS. I am sure that's the biggest revelation Teapublicans will derive from them.
Trust me, when Hillary Clinton gets on the ballot, I will have not the slightest hesitation voting for her or supporting her election.

(30,058 posts)yes we will vote for the nominee. I have seen some post if Hillary is the nominee they will hold their nose, sit out the election or just plain no. What do you think about these responders.

(57,204 posts)Honest. I have no animus against Hillary Clinton and won't be offering up any topics or initiating any debates.
I am sorry I stepped out of line.
Do I need to make any deletions in the interest of keeping the peace?
As I've written and my friend Boston Bean can tell you, I do not sit out elections, I do not vote third party, I do not write in except in local elections where the Republican or Libertatian run unopposed and they are asses. I am not going to hold my nose voting Democratic against the clown car even if somehow, some way, some weird bizarro alternate world Charlie Crist would be the Democratic nominee I would still support him. Because if I'm staying home not voting the Democratic candidate, I'm staying home not voting for the state and local candidates, too.
I cannot imagine voting in protest, or staying home. I'll have my Clinton bumper sticker on the day after the convention. And living in Burnet county, Texas - that's saying something.

I have read other post they are going to sit out the election, but would not vote for Hillary. This could be posts by RW trolls or other party affiliations.
We don't need to sit out elections if we are going to be able to turn Texas back to blue.

(10,565 posts)That Bernie calling himself a Socialist is a big plus- really, that once people hear the explanation it won't matter. Whistling past the graveyard is more like it.

(53,661 posts)For our side, demoralize and suppress the vote. For their side, provide circus acts until the prom date is picked. The strategy is destructive but it's been proven sound. We won't vote. They will vote. Repeat.

(12,504 posts)Yup, it serves the Right very well, to mock and disenfranchise possible voters for the candidate that they fear the most in the upcoming elections....and that's not Bernie.
Bernie is highly unllikely to win a General Election against a Republican, so it behoves the Right (or far left pretenders) to make the Herculean effort to get Bernie through the Primaries. I've read on several RW sites that where there are open Primaries, they will vote for Bernie as a fulfillment of that strategy.
People are not persuaded by what we say but rather by what they understand

I'm voting for Hillary because I think she's the best candidate for our country now, though.. not bc I'm concerned Bernie won't win the GE.

Oh well.
In any case, I don't think he'll win more than one or two states and more likely none.
I love him though.
But I prefer Hillary.

(30,761 posts)the smears against Hillary and the screaming support of Bernie, will create a backlash.
Democrats who are undecided will see this and decide to support Hillary. They will not want to be associated with the haters, screamers and faux progressives who are shouting for Bernie. Birds of a feather. Many people will see that a number of the so-called supporters are doing this to weaken the Democrats.
We are smarter and stronger than conservative detractors.

(3,517 posts)Is the barrage of BS posts and rah rah support really supposed to get people onboard? I don't know if that's a good tactic. Personally I'm waiting for the debates.

(12,655 posts)they definitely don't want a dem in office, and I think they have particular hatred for Bernie, Hillary, and Joe.
we should focus on a clean primary and then kicking their sorry butts in the general. i know this read is upsetting, but honestly, i consider the national review to be rush in a nicer suit.
