Is Reality Starting To Sink In With Sanders Supporters?

I don't know what bigger hit to the head one needs than the clobbering he took in NY yesterday. I does seem like the gild is off the Sanders lily to some extent. I think they're starting to realize that he's out of real estate to make up the delegate difference, that needing to win 70% of the remaining delegates is impossible. Not improbable, impossible.

I guess we'll get an idea if the fund raising starts to wind down as people stop supporting a lost cause. Yes, some people will continue to fund him in the belief that he's going to press on to the convention, but a much larger number of people will realize that it's over.

The biggest clue for them will be when the media deserts his campaign and he's flying on an empty plane.

1. I think what matters is that this changes the media perception of him greatly.

No more fawning press, no more excusing the flubs or outright dishonesty by him and his campaign, no more taking him at his word, basically. (You can see this already in effect with the incredulity that greeted Jeff Weaver on MSNBC last night.) Those days are over.

Now he'll be expected to produce concrete plans for what he's been talking about for months, and Flying Spaghetti Monster help him if he doesn't have those already. Especially after the Daily News interview. The media doesn't always do its job correctly, but in presidential races, they tend to at least make an effort. Bernie and his supporters are going to wish the media wasn't paying attention to him like they claimed all along.

If that damages their feelings, well, that's not my concern. This is politics, not pre-school.

The books are far better than the TV series.

It is nice to discuss something non-political from time to time.

They're usually published in anthologies, generally super-natural-related, but Butcher or his publisher collected some of them (all the ones published up until that point) and put them out as one volume, Mean Streets.

If you know this already, don't mind me.

Hopefully the majority will see the importance of beating Trump and the GOP in congressional races and join us in that effort.
