Read this.

On Rachel Maddow's show tonight, Tad Devine explained Sanders' campaign strategy going forward.

Devine said that the campaign will work to convert Hillary delegates to Bernie delegates at the state conventions. He cited Nevada as an example.

Devine also said that whomever gets the most popular votes by the beginning of the nominating convention does not matter. The popular vote is not relevant.

Reread that to let it sink in.

Next, Tad said that the number of delegates is what matters. Why is the total number of popular votes received not meaningful?

Tad says that's because caucuses (which have been Bernie's strength), are not democratic. He specifically said that if all state contests were primaries, then who has the most popular votes would be the best way to determine the nominee. But that's not the case.

Let me put that in bold. Tad said that's because caucuses (which have been Bernie's strength), are not democratic.

You should have seen his face when he said it.

The Bernie Sanders campaign leadership has gone absolutely crazy.

He is saying that almost all of his candidate's victories were not democratic.

By any standard, that is an insane position for the campaign leadership to assume.

And this is a protected Hillary group. Back to GD-P, you go.

of whom, 1.8 million actually voted, a high primary turnout for us. That left 3.5 million individuals who could have voted for Mr. Sanders.

But they did not. Despite his rallies and $6 million of ads, he could not bring them out to vote for him.

Sanders lost. Period. And now he's being boorish about it.

BTW there was a primary race for governor here in 2014, featuring a progressive challenger to Cuomo, Zephyr Teachout. Had those low-info Hipsters looked into voting for her 18 months ago, they might have gotten off their asses and registered as Democrats then, and thus, been able to vote in yesterday's primary!

The Primary is closed because it is a Party election and not a General Election.

It is designed to keep non-party voters from disrupting the Primary process.

Maybe They are trying to regroup/plan.

How Rachel kept a straight face is beyond me... He even seemed a little dry mouthed at times which is a sign of nerves...

Why can't they just be realistic and say let's see what happens after next Tues and we'll make a decision then but until then we'll work hard for every vote?? Their message now is so convoluted.

Just saw the living embodiment of the "shit-eating-grin" on Tad Devine's face

while he was being interviewed by A. Mitchell on MSNBC. He was pedalling furiously to spin the NY loss into a justification for "forging on to the convention", and getting the "Supers" to switch.
