Here's my take on Hillarys unfavorables and why she's still going to be our nominee.

I know there are people on DU that hate her for some very specific reasons.
But I don't think most of that 56% have any specifics.

They hate her just because. Because she's been slimed relentlessly for 25 years.
Because they've been told they should hate her.

Reminds me a lot people who claim to be Christian. Even tho they haven't
actually observed any Christian values in decades.
When they're asked what religion they are their default is Christian.
There's no bona fides to be one other than lip service. There isn't a test. You don't have to
know anything or even do anything except claim to be one.
It's like a pre-programmed default.

I think Hillary hate is the same way.
People claim to hate her who don't know anything about her
other than the media smears.
She's been described as shrill, greedy, a liar, a murderer, a lesbian, as too ambitous, for trying to hard
and all manner of other ridiculous things.

They don't know if they really hate her or not they know they're supposed to.

The other reason she's going to be our nominee is that she's very very competent.
In spite of the 25 years of mostly baseless slimings she's still standing.
That's because she works hard at her job and she's prepared.
She's spent 25 years building the Democratic party helping candidates, and building coalitions.

It's not a fluke that she's winning. It's not lesser of two evils. She's worked at it ceaselessly.

Like any other success story Hillary didn't get here by accident.

is that they always neglect to mention that they are also polling likely republican primary voters. Of course, she is going to have high unfavorable ratings when you factor in a group that has been trained to hate her for 25 years. She has net positive favorability ratings in the Democratic party, but reporting that wouldn't fuel the story.

I also think some of the negativity from
the politically unaffiliated is just knee jerk.

I read a piece here on DU earlier about a woman in NYC who supports Hillary
but thought her neighborhood would go for Bernie given all the local
chatter and shirts and signs and Bernie swag and Hillary had very little of that.

Hillary carried her neighborhood with 56%.

My wife who is a Hillary supporter and also an admirer says that's because the people who support Hillary don'r evangelize her.
They like her positions and her work ethic and that sh'es always prepared.

My wife describes that as a very quiet competance.

I just cut 'em off and proceed to tell them why they are an ignorant idiot.

But I don't waste my time with that.

You can't fix stupid...or intolerant either.
