Cokie Roberts just said on MSNBC

"Democrats are delusional if they think they can walk away with the election if Trump is the nominee. He will turn blue states red."

Then they discuss how Trump could take New York and Massachusetts.

Is this the new media narrative?

for years now. I think the MSM has decided that, in spite of all the facts, they have to try and present this primary contest as a "horserace" to try and keep viewers. Look for them to bring in lots of DINO's and RW shills like Cokie.

And failed.

She and other dinosaurs in the news cycle wants everyone to believe in the long-held b.s. that the electorate can only have a Party in the White House two terms before they defer to the other Party. Of course, that's bull, especially since GHW Bush succeeded Reagan after his two disastrous terms, but it's the narrative they're clutching in the hope to install another detrimental Repub in our White House now that a strong Democrat rescued our nation from economic collapse and high unemployment.

Not. Going. To. Happen.

Now that dinosaurs like Kookie Roberts in our media - and there are more kooks like Kookie Roberts than there are sane people like Rachel Maddow - can't frame the narrative so easily anymore, we can't be so easily fooled.

They've lost that privilege and power. With the advent of Twitter, FB, and blogs, we no longer have to rely on skewed propaganda outlets posing as our 4th estate that has heralded such mental midgets like Reagan to god-like status while denigrating great men like Jimmy Carter to Forrest Gump status.

And earlier he signaled that Planned Parenthood did good things.

Trump has nothing but chaos to offer, he's just a tabloid style, used car salesman from a Buy- here/ Pay Here lot and he wins Primaries!!!!!! So, I take nothing as logical this cycle.

If he tries to shout and physically intimidate her, that will backfire. If he's forced to seriously discuss policy issues in a normal tone of voice, his weaknesses will be exposed. I don't see debates as being any kind of a winning situation for him, so I'd look for him to avoid them.

Morning Joe always has a tendency to infuriate me, whether it's a guest or one of the co-hosts who says something idiotic. I think it's the new "horse race" they're gearing up for, because that's just a ridiculous statement, IMO.

Mika also said something really annoying. She said she "couldn't understand" why people think Bernie should stop attacking Hillary. First she said they weren't personal attacks (that they were issue-based) and then she said something along the lines of "Why does he have to stop – is there a law??" She tends to say things in a really sarcastic, condescending way and I think she has a deep hatred for Hillary. Cokie Roberts explained to her that he could stay in the race, just stop with the negative attacks on Hillary. She still didn't seem to get it.

....chewed up with ideological prejudices and regenerated.

That said, let's look at NY. Here is the latest poll of NY - Clinton vs Trump:

New York: Trump vs. Clinton Emerson Clinton 55, Trump 36 Clinton +19

The Democratic primary vote in NY was much larger than the Republican vote and Hillary had many more votes than Donald Trump . So if it is just Democrats verses Republican voters, Hillary wins unless a large percentage of the Sanders voters defect to the Greens or doesn't vote. However, also keep in mind that some percentage of the 40% who did not vote for Trump will not vote for him in the GE and may even vote for Hillary.

So what is is at stake is the "3 Million" independent voters in NY. If Sanders expected a big boost if they could vote, then a good number of them have to be voters who are too liberal to be Democrats. Those should be Democratic voters unless they go Green or sit on their hands. Then there will be moderates who reliably vote for Democrats and those who reliably vote Republican, leaving those in the middle who vary their vote depending who the two candidates are. Normally NY as a state is reliably Democratic, but the GE in NY will depend on how the independent vote this time around.

Can anyone in NY comment on the nature of the independents in NY?
Based on the poll results above it appears that they usually vote Democratic and it this case don't like Trump.
