Poll: Trump, Clinton have big leads in Pennsylvania
Written by Rachel McDevitt/Radio Pennsylvania | Apr 21, 2016 4:22 AM

Lancaster) -- The presidential race in Pennsylvania is looking a lot less competitive after the latest Franklin and Marshall College Poll.
The voter survey devoted attention to likely voters in the commonwealth and found the front runners in both parties have pulled even farther ahead.
Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders 58 to 31 percent.

Bernie's numbers are PLUMMETING. His chances of winning the nomination have never been SMALLER.

Is this what CRATERING looks like? Or would it be more accurately described as a FREEFALL?

Last polling data I had Clinton: 52 - Sanders: 39 with up to 27 delegate advantage.

That would give her up to a 57 delegate advantage if it holds up.

I'm going to go with the current rolling average of 53 - 37 that gives Hillary a 33 advantage.

I imagine that the Sanders campaign must be in complete freefall given that polls show him 13 to 26 points behind. This is why I've said Apr26th is going to hurt the guy. It's 5 diverse primaries (4 closed) a week after NY. He neither has the time, the surrogates, nor the organization to make much of a difference and he typically does poorly on multi-contest days because of it.

I bet he wishes that he didn't whine so much about the Clinton team proposing a debate before PA.

I live here. Now granted, I haven't seen a single Bernie sign or bumper sticker. I've also seen exactly 1 Hillary sign.

Unless the Sanders campaign has reached the end of the road and has now lost significant credibility, Pennsylvania should turn out to be about +10.

One thing that will enhance turnout a bit is a pretty hot race between Joe Sestak and Katie McGinty for the Democratic nominee for the Senate race against Toomey (a teabagger the Dems would love to get rid of).

I've got a slight McGinty lean there but do feel that either would be excellent candidates. Barring changes, I'll vote for Her and her.

I knew that Bernie's streak of little caucus states would end and the real race would begin with a win in NYS but this is so great!
