Many of us who support HRC are "far left"

I'm a member of the DSA. Many true socialists are HRC supporters. The CPUSA will probably support Hillary when she gets the nomination.

Not a criticism, just a reminder to those in this group. Please do not broadbrush Leftists/Marxists/Whomever, either on here or IRL.

*Also, the older I've gotten, the more liberal I've become.

And proves the point of DUers dismissing the left.

Ugh.

I guess I am not pure enough for them, and frankly don't give a damn.

The Narodniks (Russian: народники, pronounced [nɐˈrodʲnʲɪkʲɪ]) were a socially conscious movement of the Russian middle class in the 1860s and 1870s, some of whom became involved in revolutionary agitation against the Tsardom. Their ideology was known as Narodnichestvo (народничество, from the Russian народ, narod, "people, folk", so it is sometimes translated as "peopleism" or more commonly "populism". A common slogan among the Narodniks was "хождение в народ", khozhdeniye v narod, "going to the people".[1] Though their movement achieved little in its own time, the Narodniks were in many ways the intellectual and political forebears of the socialist revolutionaries who went on to greatly influence Russian history in the 20th century.

BS does seem to fit that definition.

I am not a "follower" I don't let others make my decisions for me. As a feminist, I stand to the left of many people.

than right, although I also believe that many of us are political "mosaics," with lots of "isms" represented.

I admire European socialism as it is generally practiced in varying degrees, where the state plays a larger and more positive role in health care, education, infrastructure, labor relations, etc. than is usual in the US. There are problems with the various models, of course, but there is also generally more of a spirit of togetherness for solving those problems, especially with someone like Angela Merkel, whom I have come to respect a LOT, in charge.

But I believe that what some of us see as the "unacceptable far left" are those who are actually Libertarians, anarchists or even nihilists (e.g., "Bernie or busters&quot . Perhaps "far left" isn't the proper term.

And she is in the middle of the pack of Democrats. Any Senator that is to the left of her I might have some issues with their stances. But probably closer to my views overall.

and I'm for Hillary.

I believe the only way to get to single payer is to transition to it gradually. Obamacare starts that process. Hillary will continue it.
