You need to chill out, Tim Robbins

Tim Robbins Verified account 

Hey NYTimes, CNN. Are you saying that 2+2=5? Are you really OK supporting a candidate with these numbers?#VoterFraud

I've just snipped a few quotes to shorten it up.. go to the link please to get the full explanation of why Robbins' Tweet is baaaad...
................................................................................................................................
This is a very bad tweet...

Last week, we explained how exit polls work. In short, the pollster (Edison Media Research) conducts interviews at polling locations, collecting a ton of demographic information about voters. Since they aren't talking to every voter, they use statistical analysis of turnout, past and present, to estimate overall patterns -- including the likely winner.

And that's why Robbins's tweet is bad. Or, really, that's one reason his tweet is bad.

It's also bad because thinking exit poll results trump actual voting results ("in reality, Bernie has won four more states&quot is idiotic. And it's bad because thinking that "the machines are rigged" in 19 states to Clinton's advantage (including a variety of different types of "machines&quot without anyone knowing suggests a conspiracy of truly impressive scale.

People pushed back on Robbins, so he tweeted at a ton of them -- 88 of them, over the course of an hour, in fact.

Everyone who disagrees with him is an operative of the pro-Clinton Correct the Record. Okay.

Tim. I get it, man. You're mad. You want Sanders to win and you don't get why he isn't. It's hard for you to believe that people would vote for Clinton over Sanders, so you assume that there was somehow widespread fraud, and you're willing to assume a huge conspiracy and misunderstand how polling works to reinforce that belief.

Much MOre~https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/04/25/you-need-to-chill-out-tim-robbins/?postshare=5661461621531566&tid=ss_tw-bottom

https://theobamadiary.com/2016/04/25/a-tweet-or-two-349/

So now we know where all that Whining about David Brock comes from.. Tim never mentions how Chris Hayes is always in the bag for burnie or thom hartmann.. it's always... whining.. unfair for Hillary to have news people behind her... Wah.. only burnie gets that. wah.

He's a caricature of everything that's wrong with Bernie's campaign and he's a highly-visible person who only serves to highlight and accentuate and draw attention to the worst traits of Bernie supporters.

His words and actions INVITE ridicule, and then they complain about being ridiculed and not being taken seriously. (Uh... hello?)

to wrap my head around it sometimes that these surrogate people of sanders are such boneheads when they've achieved such success in other areas of their lives.

Evidently common sense and decency went out the window when they got involved in politics.

This is just his latest dumb ploy.. he called Hillary's supporters "sheep" and dismissed and disrespected the voters of South Carolina(and Guam).. as being no more important than Guam..

The real limousine liberals.. who aren't affected when they cause republicans to be elected.. too bad about the poor.

that people believe massive conspiracies make sense. My candidate is losing and the only sensible explanation is that thousands of people got together to rig voting machines in dozens or hundreds of districts and they all manage to stay quiet about it.

I've seen a lot of people around here floating the stupid idea that exit polls are the most accurate polls there are. I suppose that's easier than coming to terms with the reality that the candidate is simply not performing up to their expectations in a full on campaign.

I had been wondering about this.

How can the exit polls be off by so much? The biggest thing to remember is that they’re just polls! They’re usually based on a sample of a few dozen precincts or so in a state, sometimes not even including many more than 1,000 respondents. Like every other type of survey, they’re subject to a margin of error because of sampling and additional error resulting from various forms of response bias.

Increasingly, the exit polls aren’t even distinct from normal telephone polls, since they’re using telephone surveys to sample early and absentee voters, who represent more than a third of the electorate in most of this year’s core battleground states. Unlike traditional media polls, which are weighted to various census targets, the exit polls aren’t weighted until far later in the evening — when they get weighted to actual voting results.

For every election we get either both mail ballots and open/early polls. Municipal elections are all mail ballots But when it comes to picking the nominee for POTUS they pile us into small class rooms...a lot of people say eff that.

there were so many complaints - primary will return next time around.

The poor republicans in this state weren't even allowed to vote, they went straight to convention where party leaders picked Cruz. Yesterday the GOP voted to bring back primary also.

I saw so many people sincerely offer articles and explanations about how exit polls work but dude bro just stuck his fingers in his ears and lalalalalala'd 'em all away.

Sounds like a personal problem. Maybe he's gone all method and is exploring a rigid and destructively stubborn role.
