(11,588 posts)Many attend to be part of the energy--to see and be seen with others who share the same excitement.
Standing in long lines and voting with all kinds of "others" can be a bit rough. The fun is gone and the serious remain.
Democrats tend to be very serious. They are the ones who have faced voter suppression and dirty tricks. They are the ones with the most to lose. This is why Hillary has so much enthusiasm. She has reasoned plans to help Americans. Like she says, she is with us all--even if we aren't with her.
