Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumThe more Bernie goes negative the more he crashes and burns
Whoever thought it was a good idea for him to go on the attack did his legacy great damage, maybe it's his idea but whatever the case numbers don't lie and he outspent her and he is getting crushed since he has changed so drastically

(15,696 posts)When he said he was sick of hearing about her damned emails, I thought, "Oh, shit! He could win this thing." Then he got mean, and I knew it was over for him.

(1,512 posts)And in the end the hacks he hired gave us the same old negative campaign. Disillusionment was inevitable.

(27,815 posts)He entered the race as Mr. Nice Guy, sincere and smiling, who only wanted to stand up for the little people. Now he's just downright nasty.
I knew he couldn't keep up the "nice guy" image for long - but I think the mask slipped far too soon in the campaign, and much to his detriment.
We'll never know how many voters who initially supported him were turned-off completely - not only by his now obvious mean streak, but by the fact that he was hiding his true nature from the outset.

(15,696 posts)I had no idea that he was so mean and his colleagues didn't like him. Back in January, I was curious as to why he had no endorsements at all. Now I know.

(27,815 posts)... that was the first "tell" about who he really was, the fact that none of his colleagues would endorse him.
You'd think that at least a few people would have come forward on his behalf - but nada. I've since learned through people who actually had dealings with him that he is abrasive, rude, and dismissive of anyone who doesn't agree with him 100% - which pretty much explains why no one was wiling to take his part.

(11,649 posts)support to hillary in early february. he wasn't nasty yet. it was just that i realized hillary had a more realistic goal of what needs to be done - and way more experience to get it done.

(27,815 posts)That's why I tended to avoid politics when we spoke on the phone. I didn't want to get into an argument by saying what I really thought of him.
I was so relieved when you said you'd decided to vote for Hillary instead!

you did say in an e-mail what you thought of him.

Oh, well - all's well that ends well!
