I think given how her favorability can reach the 60s at times (like it did during her term at State), the "polarizing" business is another story the media makes to make the race look competitive. She's gonna destroy Jebya. If Carter's brother had all of the money in the world and had run in 1988, he'd have lost. Same for Jeb, as both Bush II and Carter left office with low approvals (and Bush Sr. had Carteresque approvals for most of 1992 when he was de-elected).
