everyone in California who is even slightly engaged politically knows that Barbara is retiring from her Senate seat.There are 35 people running for her seat.The cluelessness is rampant over there. I've seen it too many times here and on other sites to think they're all that dumb. I think it's some kind of goofy protest.

I remember once seeing then same person post "sending another $27" three times in one day. At that rate they will soon qualify as a PAC.

They're propelled by sheer hatred at this point. I might have a few bernie buttons and a newly minted Burlinton College diploma to donate.

I read a couple of those threads and thought that many of them needed the money way more than Sanders does.

I know this is how politics works, but part of me (most, really) thinks he should just level with them and tell them it's over. He knows. The rest of us know.

....and rigged so his acolytes' votes will never count. He's lying to them that they have a real chance to have him nominated and that the only thing stopping them is Democratic Party corruption. He's still on a rampage against Clinton instead of Trump.

Their poor reading skills (or whatever the problem is) leads them to take your disgust that Sanders is still taking advantage of people who can't afford to give money as making fun of BS supporters for being poor. I see this constantly. They call something a Hillary supporter says "vile and disgusting" (or anti-Semitic or racist etc.) and I go and check and it's nothing of the sort. How did these people graduate from high school? They can't read.

It reminds me of when I was a child; we were sometimes hungry, sometimes we had no electricity, sometimes we had to siphon gas from someone else's car so Dad could go to work but we always tithed at church (and Dad always had money for weed).

We probably would have been mad at someone being concerned for us like this too.

So while I am upset by what I consider televangelisty griftiness happening to people I consider victims, I also understand why they don't like us being upset about it.

Sanders ran a good con game. I suspect he will still be hustling the kids out their lunch money long after he pulls up stakes and packs up the roadshow... all those unexpected campaign expenses, doncha know!

These people are true believers.
