Bernie Doesn't Think Hillary is an Acceptable Choice

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/05/22/1529519/-Bernie-Doesn-t-Think-Hillary-is-an-Acceptable-Choice

Presidential hopeful and underdog for the Democratic nomination Bernie Sanders said one of the reasons he is staying in the race is because he does not want Americans "voting for the lesser of two evils."

Sanders added that he will use Hillary Clinton's low favorability ratings as part of his case to Democratic party super delegates that they should back him over her.

"We need a campaign, an election, coming up which does not have two candidates who are really very, very strongly disliked. I don't want to see the American people voting for the lesser of two evils," the senator told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos during an interview that will air on "This Week" Sunday. "I want the American people to be voting for a vision of economic justice, of social justice, of environmental justice, of racial justice."

Asked by Stephanopoulos whether he would describe Clinton as the lesser of two evils against Donald Trump, Sanders responded, "No, I wouldn't describe it, but that's what the American people are saying."

"If you look at the favorability ratings of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, both of them have very, very high unfavorables," Sanders added.

Sanders has long argued that although he is losing the primary fight to Clinton, party elites should consider how well he does with independents as one of the reasons he is better equipped to take on Trump in November.

Wish I could embed the video.

“I didn’t say it. They did!” Senator Bernie Sanders is now going with the narrative that he is the only candidate that can defeat Donald Trump full stop. Saying your opponent that’s leading you is “the lesser of two evils” means what? It means Bernie thinks she’s a terrible option but not as bad as Trump. The American people would be much happier with Bernie on the ballot, according to him. Any support after the primaries will look half-hearted at this point. Bernie will keep throwing punches all the way to the convention, but I won’t be surprised if he tries to walk this one back. He has developed a specialty in passive-aggressive attacks.

Bernie is it for himself..his losing and cant deal with it...I cant wait until its over counting the days..

would see him lose to trump by double digits....and forever change the course of america for the worse as the supreme court would be pack with conservative dirtbags....we would see a conservative congress dismantle everything that has been put in place that protects the american people.....we would be plunged into a deep and dark recession/depresion and find our country immersed in wars all over the world

that is what sander's ego will give us....the angry old socialist will have his dreams come true as america is forever changed....except it will be for the worse

he doesn't care and many of his followers don't either

Foreign policy. On his core issue of breaking up the banks he could not answer the question of how this would work in his interview. His agenda items are not realistic. Elections are not about favorability contests, the office of president is much more, I would think after a year of running he would know this also.

Just another big move of the goal post for Sanders. The people he is listening to are saying the same thing as we see posted here, it is time he says, We the people have spoken. In fact Sanders has the least amount of votes of the three still in the race.

People want to "vote for a vision." Oh dear. Admitting to waving an exciting vision around to get votes? Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, good thing you aren't held under a microscope and viciously attacked for everything you've ever said the way Clinton is.
