Related: About this forumIs it just me, or does Chris Jansing (MSNBC) get on anybody else's last nerve?
I find her to be an obsequious toady, pandering and disturbingly deferential. I've yet to see her report in a principled and objective way on anything.
Her main goal appears to be to ingratiate herself to whomever she's coverning at the moment.
Her squint-eyed, simpering manner is very off-putting.
Ugghhh!

(15,805 posts)I agree with you. Its funny you should mention her eyes, not too long ago I was in another forum where someone mentioned her bizarro eye makeup. She paints a deep, dark shadow in her eyelid crease that makes it look like she has a double set of eyebrows. Look at her photos, its creepy, and now I've got it stuck in my brain whenever I see her.
I don't know why she rubs me the wrong way. Maybe she comes across as a phoney, very shallow, person, and I know that my response is entirely subjective, but that's what I get from her. On the objective criticisms, she gushes over her VIP interviews and almost never asks tough questions or ask any follow up challenges

(1 post)It's not just you, Surya. Watching/listening to Chris Jansing on MSNBC is very much listening to the sound of chalk scraping against a blackboard for me. She constantly asks stupid questions during her interviews, questions she phrases in the most vacuous way imaginable. She always seems like she's smugly judging about everything. She seems to have no intelligent understanding of news topics. She drives me crazy.
